About Dr. Ashley Anderson

Dr. Anderson holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a minor in Biomanufacturing from North Carolina State University and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Raised in eastern North Carolina, she is grateful to be able to give back her local community. Dr. Anderson has loved animals for as long as she can remember. That lifelong passion is what led her to veterinary medicine, and it continues to guide the way she cares for her patients. She strives to create a warm, supportive environment where patient centered care is the focus.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Anderson enjoys the lively chaos of her own two- and four-legged crew; her four children, two dogs, and two cats!

Fear Free Certified

Every team member who interacts with your pet is Fear Free Certified. This means we have been trained in specialized techniques to reduce fear, anxiety, and stress in animals during their visits with us. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, we’re committed to creating a compassionate experience where your pet’s emotional well-being is as important and cared for as their physical health.

Just a few of the steps we take with intention and care for your pet’s comfort and happiness:

  • Gentle handling techniques tailored to your pet’s comfort level
  • Positive reinforcement during exams and procedures
  • Minimized wait times and noise to reduce overstimulation
  • Separate dog and cat entrances, exam rooms and post surgery rooms to reduce interspecies stress
  • Peaceful colors, Pheromone therapy

At Lanvale Animal Hospital, we treat every pet like our own – with compassion, patience and a commitment to emotional well-being. That’s the Fear Free difference.
